Students from CSE, ISE and MCA departments of MVJCE ecstatically gathered in M.V. Jayaraman auditorium by 11.00 AM.
The event kick-started with the lighting of the inauguration lamp by the chief guest ,Ms.Pratima Amonkar, Senior director- Strategic Audience marketing, Microsoft and the dignitaries accompanied by the auspicious music.
The Chief Guest- Ms.Pratima Amonkar, Principal -Dr.K.S.Shanmukaradhya and vice principal, Ms.Gayathri were welcomed students with a bouquet in auditorium.
The MC’s took over and gave a brief introduction about existing Microsoft Innovation Centre of MVJCE and requested the Principal to deliver welcome speech. Principal spoke about Microsoft Programmes , collaboration and advantages of the program for MVJCE students.
Following this, Chief Guest Ms. Pratima Amonkar was requested to address the gathering and inspire the students. She spoke about power of technology and showing bigger aspect of ‘device’. She highlighted the concept of “Innovation” in entirety. She even shared some of the success stories of achievements of young innovators and motivated subsequently she briefed about MIC and encouraged the students to make use of opportunity.
Later certificate distribution for students developers who participated in Appathon -April 2014 event was done by chief guest. Chief Guest was honoured by Principal. MOU was signed and offered to the college. It was a proud moment for the college.
Vote of thanks was given by Vice-principal ,followed by photo session with chief guest, Principal, Vice principal ,Head Of Departments-ISE,CSE,MCA, core team of Microsoft , Microsoft Student Partners, Microsoft Student Associates of MVJCE.
The event was concluded by National Anthem at 12.40 PM. The dignitaries were preceded to MIC lab inauguration.
